On the left, Habitat volunteers are building a wheelchair ramp for a lady in Radcliff, KY. We had 10 volunteers including 4 from the Central Hardin High School shop class.
Below, a group of soldiers from Ft Knox spent a day putting the roof on this house.
While we can get volunteers to do the work, we need to buy all of the materials. As of 2011 that is about $64,000 per house. We raise that money from grants, sponsorships and donations. We also get about $22000 per house from the Partner Families who have already bought one of our houses. We are looking to the ReStore to help with the rest of the funding. You can help by donating furniture, applicanes, tools, cars, lawn equipment, household items and building materials to the ReStore. We will sell them and all the money we make will go into home construction or repair. (We do not accept clothing or bedding.)
